How to recover deleted WhatsApp numbers
Shark deleted numbers from the phone book of the smartphone and, consequently, you can no longer find them even in WhatsApp? Don't despair: if in the past you have synchronized your phone's address book with a cloud service or made a local backup of it, you can be able to recover the contacts of your interest in a fairly simple way. Here are all the details.
Recover deleted WhatsApp numbers from Google address book
If before deleting the numbers that you would now like to retrieve you had activated the synchronization of the address book with Google, you will be happy to know that you can "go back in time" and restore the status of the address book to an earlier date (so before the deletion of the contacts of your interest). However, this means that you will also lose any contacts added after that date; before proceeding, therefore, be sure to save them.
To restore the status of the Google address book, all you have to do is access the Google Contacts service from the browser using the account you have synchronized on your smartphone, then you have to press onicona dell'ingranaggio that you find at the top right and you have to select the item Annulla modified it give the menu check if you press.
In the box that is proposed to you, choose whether to go back to 10 min does, 1h ago, yesterday 1 week ago or one custom date (max 30 days before) and press the button Cancel that you find at the bottom right (the one near the right edge of the box). Within a few minutes, the status of the address book will be reset to the selected date.
At this point, if the phone book synchronization with Google is already active on the smartphone, the deleted contacts should return to their place. If not, turn on the synchronization of your address book with Google by doing this.
- Android: go to the menu Settings> Accounts (or Users and Accounts)> Add an Account> Google, log in to your Google account and make sure there is a tick for the option to synchronize contacts.
- iPhone: go to the menu Settings> Passwords and Accounts> Add Account> Google (present in Settings> Mail or Settings> Contacts su iOS 14 and later), log into your Google account and make sure the contacts switch is active.
Recover deleted WhatsApp numbers from iCloud address book
Also iCloud, Apple's cloud service, offers the possibility to restore the status of the address book to a previous date (thus restoring any deleted contacts). In this case, however, we are talking about a solution available only on iPhones.
To proceed, then connected to the iCloud web panel, log in with the Apple ID you have associated with your iPhone, click on you don't know you see at the top right and select the item Account settings give the menu check if you press.
On the next page, click the link Reset contacts located at the bottom left, choose the item Restore relative to the date on which you intend to bring back the iCloud address book and that's it. Within a few minutes, the status of the contacts will be reset to the selected date.
In order for the changes to be properly reflected on iPhone, you need to make sure that in the menu Settings> [your name]> iCloud of iOS the lever relative to contacts is active (otherwise you activate it). If there is no Apple ID configured on the phone, fix it by following the directions I gave you in another tutorial.
Recover deleted WhatsApp numbers from VCF files
If before deleting the numbers you now intend to retrieve you had not synchronized your smartphone address book with a cloud service, but you had created a local backup of the address book in the form of VCF file, you can use the latter to import contacts that are now lost to your smartphone.
Auto-sent, therefore, the VCF file in question away emails and proceed as follows, depending on the device and operating system you use.
- Android: access your e-mail box from the smartphone on which you want to restore contacts e download the attachment on the device memory, by pressing the appropriate icon. Then proceed to rename the VCF file downloaded on the phone to contacts.vcf using any file manager (eg Google files). At this point, open the application Google contacts (available on the Play Store or on alternative stores), press the ☰ button located at the top left and go to Settings> Import. Then place the check mark next to the item .vcf file, award-winning OK and select il VCF file that you have previously downloaded to your smartphone.
- iPhone: starts Mail, open the email in which you sent the VCF file to yourself, tap onattachment icon and press on the item Add all xx contacts.
Please note: this procedure may result in duplicates being created in the address book. To remedy this, follow the instructions I gave you in my tutorials on how to import VCF into Gmail (in which I explained how to manage duplicates in Gmail, therefore also on Android if you have synchronized your smartphone address book) and how to delete duplicate contacts on iPhone.
Other useful solutions
If none of the previously mentioned solutions worked, you can try using gods dati recovery software (which however very hardly work in these cases) or, if you have them, you can think of restoring a backup of the address book that you made with the smartphone management software released by the manufacturer (eg. HiSuite for Huawei smartphones).

How to recover blocked numbers on WhatsApp
Have you blocked some numbers in WhatsApp but don't remember which ones? Would you like to unlock some contacts on which you have had second thoughts but do not know how to do it? No problem, it's really child's play.
First, start WhatsApp on your smartphone and go to the settings of the app, by selecting the appropriate item from the menu ⋮ located at the top right on Android or by selecting the appropriate tab on iPhone; then go up Account> Privacy> Blocked contacts (or alone Blocked) and you will see a list of all the numbers you have blocked.
Now, if you intend to unblock a number, proceed like this: if you use Android, do a prolonged tap on the contact of your interest and select the item Unblock [contact name] from the menu that opens; if you use a iPhone, do one swipe from right to left on the contact to unlock and that's it. Easy and immediate.
