How to save videos from WhatsApp: chat
If you want to save a video you received via WhatsApp, know that the famous messaging service owned by Facebook performs the saving of multimedia files automatically in the smartphone gallery.
However, it may happen that this automatic WhatsApp feature is not enabled: this depends on how the file download parameters are set in the app. Either way, don't worry - you'll find all the information you need to understand how to save videos from WhatsApp in the next chapters.
How to save WhatsApp videos on Android
If you want save videos from WhatsApp to the Android gallery, you must first check if the auto-save function of videos received in chats is enabled, by default.
You must know, in fact, that the WhatsApp app for Android automatically downloads the videos inside a folder (or album) named WhatsApp video when you try to play them in the chat. By logging into the app Gallery o Gallery, you will find the WhatsApp videos in the album just mentioned or in the one generically named Video.

If the video you received doesn't appear in the app Photo / Gallery, you can check that the download feature is enabled in the WhatsApp settings panel. That said, if you want to activate the automatic download of videos from WhatsApp even when you are roaming, press on the item When I was roaming and put a check mark in the box Video.

How to save WhatsApp videos on iPhone
If you own a iPhone, save videos from WhatsApp it's a very simple operation: all you have to do is check that a specific feature is already enabled in the app in question. Generally speaking, by default, WhatsApp automatically saves videos in the iOS photo gallery.

To verify this configuration, launch the WhatsApp and press on the item Settings, down. At this point, select the item I use data and archives e premi sull'opzione Video. Finally, all you have to do is choose the options on the screen, in case you want to perform the automatic saving on the data network and / or on the Wi-Fi network.
How to save WhatsApp videos on PC
Be your intention è save video from WhatsApp Web or from the desktop client of the famous instant messaging application, the procedure you have to face is not at all difficult. Furthermore, the instructions to follow are the same regardless of the system used to access WhatsApp from a PC.
First, start the WhatsApp client for Windows o MacOS or log in to WhatsApp Web. If this is your first time connecting, you will be shown a QR code that you will need to scan with the WhatsApp on your phone. At this point, on the main screen of WhatsApp, open the conversation where you received the video, click on its miniature, to start playing it, and click on thedownload icon (the'icona della freccia verse il basso) that you find at the top right of the new proposed screen. It was easy, am I right?
How to save videos from WhatsApp: status
If you want to know how to save videos from WhatsApp Status, I must warn you that there is no native functionality of this service that allows you to do so.
If, however, you still want to save a WhatsApp Status, you can export the video by performing the screen recording. Although on iPhone this functionality is integrated into the IOS Control CenterUnfortunately, this is not always the case on Android.
Some smartphones Android, in fact, they are equipped with an integrated functionality, like the iPhones, which allow video recording of the screen. For others, however, on which this tool is not available, the installation of third-party apps is essential.

How to save videos from WhatsApp: backup
If your interest is to save a video in the periodic backup of WhatsApp, you will be happy to know that the steps are simple, if you already have the backup functionality active in the app.
In case this is not the case, the first thing you need to do is make sure you have a Google account linked to WhatsApp on Android or an iCloud account linked to WhatsApp on iPhone. Once this is done, you need to enable the backup feature on WhatsApp, acting from the app settings and activating this feature: to do this, reach the item Backup of chats in the section Chat WhatsApp settings. If you have any doubts, I suggest you read my guide on how to backup WhatsApp.
Finally, you need to include the videos in WhatsApp periodic backup. How? From the panel of Settings of WhatsApp, select the items Chat> Chat backup and make sure the option is activated Include videos.
To avoid extra costs in the data traffic of your SIM due to the weight of the videos, I recommend that you back up only when you are connected to a Wi-Fi network. In this regard, activate the appropriate item in the WhatsApp backup settings on Android or follow the instructions that are shown to you on the iPhone.
