Officially, WhatsApp it does not allow you to transfer chats from one operating system to another. However, as regards the transition from iPhone to Android, it is possible to implement a native procedure that can be carried out during the initialization phase of your Android smartphone.

However, I would like to clarify that, at the moment, the functionality in question is only available on smartphones Android brand Samsung. However, given that this possibility should also be extended to other models, it seems appropriate to point it out to you.

To get started, then, launch the WhatsApp su iPhone, in order to go to the section Settings. Then press the button Move chats to Android, to start preparing for the transfer. Once this is done, tap the button Start and start the wizard, following the instructions I am about to give you.

So take your smartphone in hand Android and, during the configuration phase, connect it, when prompted, to the iPhone, using a  cavo USB-C a lightning.

After that, in the app Samsung Smart Switch you will be shown the next steps to take. When prompted, use your iPhone's camera to scan the QR code that are displayed on the new device Android.

Now, hit the Start button that is shown to you on iPhone, in order to start the transfer. Then continue with the smartphone setup procedure Android, until you get to the screen Home, that is the one in which all the apps are present.

At this point, start the app of WhatsApp and log in with your phone number (the same one used on the previous device). Finally, click on the button Import, to complete the procedure for transferring the chats of WhatsApp.

Alternatively, there are third-party solutions, such as Wondershare dr.fone, which allow you to perform this operation in a fairly simple way.

In case you have never heard of it, dr.fone is an all-in-one solution for Android and iPhone data management that works directly from your computer. It is available for both Windows and macOS and allows you to really do everything: from backing up devices to recovering deleted data, through restoring blocked systems and transferring data from one smartphone to another (even if equipped with different operational).
