    Midomi (Online)

How to find song title from lyrics

The first among the online services to be able to find song title from the text I want to suggest you try is Midomi, an extraordinary website at no cost and branded SoundHound (you can find more details about it at the end of this guide) that allows you to trace the title of a given piece of music simply by humming it in front of the computer microphone. It works on all major browsers and operating systems and to use it you do not need to install and download absolutely anything on the multimedia station in use, except for Flash Player (if on your computer it is not already installed or if you do not use a browser that integrates it, read my tutorial on how to download Flash Player to fix it immediately).

To try it out, go to the main page of the service and click on the button first Click and Sing or Hum which is located in the top center and then up Allow to authorize the site (as well as the Flash player) to use your computer's microphone. Once this is done, hum or whistle a piece of the song whose title you want to find out for about 10-20 seconds and then press the button Click to stop to stop recording and start song search.

Since the searches carried out by Midomi are extremely accurate, within a few seconds you should see a page appear with the title of the song or a group of three or four songs that could correspond to the latter. Then click on the button play which is next to the cover of the song found and find out if it is really the song you were looking for by listening to the preview proposed.

    AudioTag (Online)

Another great online service useful for identifying song titles is AudioTag. This is a very interesting Web App that allows you to identify songs online. Unlike what I have already proposed, AudioTag requires the upload of clips of audio tracks (eg Web radio recordings). Alternatively, it is possible to provide the link to an audio file already present online.

To use it, connected to its main page, click on the button KATEGORIEN present under the heading You can upload a file from your computer to select the song whose title and other info you want to know, then press the button first apri and then on the button Upload to send it to Audiotag. If instead you want to use a file already present online, paste the url in the second empty field in the home of the service and then click on proceed.

Then enter the result of the sum of the two numbers on the page prove you’re a human in the empty text field Please, calculate ed enter the result and click on the button Next. After a brief analysis, the service will return a page with search results containing the name of the song, the artist who sings / plays it and other useful information.

App to find song title from lyrics

    Shazam

Are you looking for a tool that allows you to identify the title of the songs directly and comfortably from your smartphone? Then turn to Shazam, which is probably the most popular app in its category. It's free, very easy to use and available for all major mobile platforms: Android, iOS and Windows Phone.

Explaining how it works is almost superfluous: just download and install it, start it, tap the button in the center of the screen with the app logo and put the mobile phone close to the source of the sound.

Once the song is recognized, Shazam shows its title, artist and allows you to listen to it for free on services such as Spotify, Apple Music and Google Music. It also allows you to buy the song on iTunes and other digital stores, view the video on YouTube, read the text, consult the artist's biography and share the track on Facebook, WhatsApp or other social networks. The songs found by the app are all collected in the My tab Shazam.

I would also like to point out that there are "shortcuts" thanks to which it is possible to recall Shazam more quickly. On Android, for example, there is a widget that can be added to the home screen of the device and allows you to activate listening by the application with a simple tap. On the iPhone, however, Shazam is included directly in Siri. This means that you can pick up the phone, call the Apple personal assistant (by holding down the key Home for a few moments or, if the option is enabled, invoking it via "Hey Siri!") and ask Siri "What song is this?" and then bring the smartphone closer to the source of the sound.

    SoundHound

Didn't Shazam attract your fight in a particular way or did it fail to fully satisfy your needs? Then try SoundHound. This is another application that allows you to easily recognize songs whose title you do not know. Even in this case, it is a resource available for all major mobile platforms: Android, iOS and Windows Phone and its operation is practically identical to that of the aforementioned application. It also offers the possibility to find the title of a song simply by singing it.

To start the recognition of a song with SoundHound, download and install the app, start it, press on logo of the app and place the smartphone near the sound source, or hum the song trying to be as accurate as possible. At this point, a screen should appear with the title of the song, the artist who performs it and quick links to listen to the song on Spotify and Google Music, buy it on digital stores, view the video and find out various information about the artist who he does it.

All recognized songs are saved in the section Recent of the application and can be recalled at any time by tapping on the relevant title.
