How the price table works

The tablet market has seen new players emerge in 2021, an unintended consequence of the global pandemic that hit in 2020. tests than last year. Lenovo and Huawei are making a strong comeback on the market and others are entering the European market, such as Xiaomi. Small new ones are also surfacing, such as Nokia or Realme, without the products still being available in Spain.

These new features are an opportunity to review the way we rate tablets. Starting with their ergonomics note, which undergoes a great overhaul, taking into account more characteristics. This new notation is inspired by its cousin dedicated to smartphones. For example, it takes into account - among other things - the size/weight ratio, the screen occupancy rate, facial recognition, compatibility with a stylus, the quality of the finishes or even the support of wifi 6 and of 5G.

The new ergonomic rating will notably take into account whether or not it is compatible with a touch stylus.

This revision of our grading criteria naturally results in a change in grades, which you may have noticed. This mainly applies to last year's tablets, or to the less well-endowed ones on the market. It is thus possible that tablets stamped 3 or 4 stars in ergonomics have lost one. This is the case of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE 5G which saw its ergonomics sub-score drop, and therefore its final score. Mainly due to the lack of Wi-Fi 6 or a Bluetooth-compatible S-Pen.
