    WhatsApp Wallpaper (Android)

As its name suggests quite easily, WhatsApp Wallpaper is the official WhatsApp application for adding custom wallpapers in chats. It is available exclusively for Android, on iOS all wallpapers are already included “as standard” in WhatsApp, and its operation is extremely intuitive.

To take advantage of the wallpapers included in the app, all you have to do is download WhatsApp Wallpaper from the Play Store and select the wallpapers from the WhatsApp settings. If you don't know how to select the chat backgrounds in WhatsApp, open the latter, press the button (...) che si trova in alto a destra e seleciona la voce Settings give the menu to compare.

In case of second thoughts, if you want to restore the default WhatsApp wallpaper, go to the menu Settings> Chat> Wallpaper of the application and presses the icon default which appears below. If you want other wallpapers to download and use in WhatsApp, take a look at the sites and apps that I recommended in my tutorial on images for WhatsApp to download for free.

GIPHY (Android / iOS / Windows Phone)

Stai fencing delle Animated GIF to share in your WhatsApp chats? Then you absolutely cannot get lost GIPHY, one of the best apps dedicated to animated GIFs. Giphy is available on all major smartphone operating systems (Android, iOS and Windows Phone) and allows you to search among thousands of GIFs of all kinds and then share them directly on WhatsApp. Its operation is of a disarming simplicity.

To share a GIF from GIPHY to WhatsApp, find the GIF of your interest (using the search bar or by browsing the various categories of GIFs available via the button located at the bottom left) and presses the icon of WhatsApp located at the bottom, in the Shares menu. If you don't see the WhatsApp icon in the shares menu, first press the button (...).

    Application for WhatsApp

Now wait a few seconds, select the person or WhatsApp group in which to share the GIF, if you want to edit the animation using the editor included in WhatsApp and confirm the sending of the GIF by pressing the appropriate button located at the bottom right.

If any of the steps are not clear to you and / or you need more information on how to send GIFs on WhatsApp, consult my tutorial dedicated to the topic.

    Siftr Magic (Android)

Over time, WhatsApp can accumulate a series of cache files, especially images, which take up a lot of space on the smartphone's memory. Siftr Magic is a free app for Android that allows you to locate these files and delete them in a few simple "taps" thus freeing up the space on the device memory.

To find the images in the WhatsApp cache and possibly delete them, download Siftr Magic from the Play Store, start it and allow it to access the photos on your smartphone by pressing the appropriate buttons (Allow and / or Go ahead). So wait for a preliminary scan of the phone to be carried out and presses ondoctor icon to start the actual search of the images in the WhatsApp cache.

    Application for WhatsApp

When the search is complete, check the list of images found by Siftr Magic, remove the check mark from those you want to keep on the smartphone memory (if any), press the icon of the basket located at the bottom right and confirm the deletion of the cache images by replying OK to the warning that appears on the screen.

    WhatsTablet (Android)

As I also explained to you in my tutorial on how to install WhatsApp on tablets, if you have an Android tablet with support for the mobile phone network, you can install WhatsApp by following the standard procedure that is carried out on a smartphone. Otherwise you would do well to rely on applications such as WhatsTablet, ie applications that use the WhatsApp Web service to "repeat" the WhatsApp application present on the smartphone on the tablet.

Being based on WhatsApp Web, WhatsTablet works just like the latter. To activate it, therefore, you have to start it and frame the QR code which is displayed in the center of the screen with the smartphone camera. If you don't know how to scan QR codes for WhatsApp Web, open WhatsApp on your smartphone, press the button (...) che si trova in alto a destra e seleciona la voce Web WhatsApp from the menu that appears. If you are using an iPhone and not an Android smartphone, press the card first Settings which is located at the bottom right and then on the item WhatsApp Web / Desktop present nella schermata che si apre.

    Application for WhatsApp

Once logged in, if you leave your smartphone on and connected to the Internet (via Wi-Fi or data network, it's the same) you can use WhatsApp on your tablet using the WhatsApp Web interface. Obviously, you will find all the your contacts, messages and groups as it is a "repetition" of the application on your smartphone.

If you need more information on how WhatsApp Web and / or WhatsApp for computer work, read my tutorial on how to use WhatsApp on PC.

    WhatsPad (iOS)

The iPads, even if equipped with Cellular support, unfortunately do not allow an easy installation of WhatsApp (if you take a look at my tutorial on how to install WhatsApp on iPad you can better understand what I mean). So here comes apps like WhatsPad, thanks to which you can use WhatsApp on iPad using WhatsApp Web, the online service that allows you to "repeat" the WhatsApp app on your smartphone in the browser on your PC or, as in this case, on your tablet.

    Application for WhatsApp

WhatsPad is completely free and allows you to "repeat" the WhatsApp application installed on any smartphone (not just iPhone). Its operation is extremely intuitive: just start it, frame the QR code displayed on the iPad screen with the smartphone camera (by going to the menu Settings> WhatsApp Web / Desktop iPhone or in the menu (…)> WhatsApp Web Android) and that's it.

By keeping your smartphone on and connected to the Internet (via Wi-Fi or 3G / 4G network), you can use WhatsApp from iPad chatting with your friends just like you normally do on your phone. I don't think there is much more to add.

    Zedge (Android)

Are you tired of the notification sounds and / or the default ringtone for WhatsApp calls? No problem. If you use an Android smartphone, you can install Zedge: an excellent free app that allows you to download ringtones, wallpapers and notification sounds completely free.

Once downloaded, ringtones can be used by calling them directly from the WhatsApp settings. Actually Zedge is also available on OS and Windows Phone, but due to the restrictions imposed by these two operating systems it does not give the same freedom of action as it does on Android and therefore cannot be used so easily to apply new ringtones in WhatsApp . For further information, take a look at my tutorial on how to set a song as a ringtone on iPhone.

To download a ringtone in Zedge for Android, all you have to do is start the app, accept its terms of use, press the button located at the top left and select the item Ringtones if you want to download one Notification or the voice Notifications if you want to download a notification tone from the bar that appears on the side. Therefore, identify the ringtone or notification tone of your interest, select it and, in the screen that opens, first press the icon of the phone with arrow which is at the bottom right and then up Save e Save to device.

    Application for WhatsApp

When the ringtone (or notification tone) is downloaded, open WhatsApp, press the button (...) che si trova in alto a destra e seleciona la voce Settings from the menu that appears. Then go up Notifications, select the sound to change (ex. Notification tone for message notifications or Ringtone for ringtone for call ringtone), choose Zedge from the box that opens and select the ringtone or notification sound of your interest from the screen that appears.
