HP's Envy range already consists of 13- and 15-inch computers. The Envy 14 which has just been announced by the manufacturer will create the link between the two with a 14-inch screen in 16:10 format. This Full HD touch screen is also supposed to offer good color accuracy with a Delta E of less than 2 from the factory. Some new features are to be expected with a physical shutter allowing the webcam to be hidden at any time (without using a Post-it), as well as a key on the keyboard dedicated to stopping the microphone.

With regard to the configuration of the Envy 14, it is in the middle of the range and seems intended for fairly broad multimedia use, allowing image processing and probably playing from time to time without too much worry. On the component side, we will find a quad-core Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor, a GeForce GTX 1650 Ti graphics card, 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB of NVMe SSD memory. In terms of connectivity, the Envy 14 cuts a pretty good figure with two USB-A ports, a USB-C Thunderbolt 4 port, a mini-jack combo socket, an HDMI 2.0 port and an SD card reader. Fast charging will also be accessible, as well as Bluetooth 2.0 and Wi-Fi 6. The keyboard is backlit and houses a fingerprint reader to unlock the screen.

Regarding business laptops, HP is renewing its Elite Dragonfly with the G2 version. Classic office PC running on an Intel processor, it will be available in many storage and RAM versions. A Max variant is also announced, similar in all respects, but with a better webcam and more microphones for more pleasant conference use.

The HP Elite x2 G8 replaces the G4, a 2-in-1 hybrid PC for mobile professionals who need a tablet mode. Few new features are planned apart from the switch to 11th generation Intel Core processors. The same is true for the Elitebook x360 1030 and 1040 convertible computers that move from G7 to G8.

An Aero version of the Elitebook 840 G8 is also expected, a lighter model similar to its counterpart, but grabbing around 230 g on the scale. HP has not yet communicated the release dates or the prices of these different models, but it will be soon.
