How to enter your number on WhatsApp on Android

Before explaining to you how to enter your number on WhatsApp on Android, I advise you to check that you have not already saved your mobile number in the address book (if so, in fact, there is no need to do anything else). If you haven't actually saved it yet, feel free to follow the instructions below.

First, open the app Address book o Contacts, pressing the icon of phonebook placed on the Home screen or in the drawer of the device (the screen that contains the icons of all the apps installed), tap the button capacitor positive (+) lead which should be at the bottom right and, in the opened screen, fill in the form you see on the screen, specifying your data in the appropriate text fields (Your name, Last name e Telephone). Finally, click on the item Save located at the top right and that's it.

Now, start the WhatsApp app, tap on the tab Chat located at the top left, presses the symbol of white speech bubble on green background located at the bottom right and press the button (⋮) located at the top right. Finally, tap on the item Update in the opened menu.

There is also an alternative procedure that allows you to save your mobile number directly in WhatsApp. To use it, after starting the famous instant messaging app, tap on the tab Chat, premi sull'icona della white speech bubble on green background and presses the button New contact placed at the top.

In conclusion, save your number in the address book by specifying yours name, last name e telephone number in the appropriate text fields and tap on the item Save located in the upper right corner. Then update the list of WhatsApp contacts following the instructions I gave you earlier.

If you do not see your number on WhatsApp (even after updating the contact list), check that you have granted the app permission to "read" the address book: go to the menu Settings> Applications> WhatsApp> Permissions and, if necessary, move up ON the switch located in correspondence with the item Contacts.

Now, to save one or more messages in the chat with yourself, do this: locate the conversation containing the message or messages of your interest, keep your finger pressed on one of those to be forwarded to yourself and, after selecting them, tap on freccia rivolta verse destra (top right). In the screen that opened, then tap on your contact and presses the icon ofpaper airplane (bottom right), in order to send them.

However, I point out that the best way to save messages is to use the WhatsApp function that allows you to set them as favorite: after having opened the conversation of your interest and having identified the message to save to your favorites, keep your finger pressed on it, tap the icon of star placed high and that's it.

Messages added to favorites are grouped in the section Important messages of WhatsApp, reachable by pressing on the tab Chat, by tapping the button (⋮) and selecting the voice Important messages from the opened menu. Convenient, don't you think? More info here.
