How to connect WhatsApp to PC (requirements)
The first thing you need to know, to succeed in your intent of connect WhatsApp to the PC, are the necessary requirements to carry out this type of operation. As already explained, WhatsApp you can use WhatsApp via browser or you can download the official WhatsApp client for Windows or Mac.
So let's quickly clarify what are the basic requirements for using WhatsApp Web from a browser and WhatsApp for PC and Mac.
- WhatsApp Web is compatible with smartphones Android, iPhone with iOS 8.1 or higher, Windows Phone version 8.0 and 8.1. It is also compatible with older cell phones Nokia S60, Nokia S40 EVO, BlackBerry and BlackBerry 10.
- To use WhatsApp Web you need a navigation browser: the compatible ones are Chrome, Firefox, Safari Microsoft Edge. WhatsApp Web is not compatible with Internet Explorer.
- To use WhatsApp Web, the smartphone must be turned on and connected to the Internet via the network Wi-Fi or via network 3G o LTE. The Internet doesn't have to be the same.
- The official WhatsApp client for PC is compatible only with computers equipped with an operating system Windows 8 and later, Mac requires an operating system version Mac OS 10.9 and later.
How to connect WhatsApp to PC (WhatsApp Web)
If your goal is to connect WhatsApp to your PC in order to read the messages you receive in the social network application from your computer, know that you can succeed in this and that the first suggestion I want to give you is to put into practice the instructions that will follow in this paragraph. In fact, I want to explain to you how to connect WhatsApp for PC using WhatsApp Web.
If you do not know what it is, you must in fact know that WhatsApp Web is the browser-accessible version of the well-known instant messaging application. Using WhatsApp Web you can then connect your smartphone to the web version of the application to read messages on your computer.
To access WhatsApp Web and thus connect WhatsApp for PC, the first thing you need to do is open the navigation program that you usually use to browse the Internet; then type at web.whatsapp.com and press the key Submit from the computer keyboard.
On the Internet page that opens, you will be asked to scan a QR code from the WhatsApp application. What you have to do is then take your smartphone in hand and tap on the WhatsApp icon to start it, then tap on the item Settings that on iOS and features the gear symbol.
If, on the other hand, you are acting as an Android smartphone, you will have to tap on the icon with the three dots symbol located at the top right and then, for both devices, you will have to tap on the item WhatsApp Web / Desktop.
At this point, if necessary, confirm your willingness to access Web WhatsApp, through the biometric recognition protection system, such as unlocking with your face or fingerprint, if this system has been previously set on your device.
At this point, all you have to do is frame the screen dedicated to scanning the QR code with your smartphone. From your smartphone then press on the wording OK! I got it and frame the code that you will see appear on the screen in the WhatsApp Web page that you have opened from your browser. The QR code is nothing more than that black square that has the WhatsApp icon in the center.
Keep in mind that, to connect WhatsApp to your PC via WhatsApp Web you will have to repeat the steps I have indicated each time and then scan the QR code from the WhatsApp Web website.
If you want to avoid repeating this procedure every time, I recommend that you check the box that you can see next to the wording Stay connected. This box will be present on the WhatsApp Web QR code scan screen. In this way your smartphone will automatically connect between WhatsApp and WhatsApp Web, every time you visit the WhatsApp Web Internet page.
By carrying out these steps that I have indicated to you, within a few seconds you should be able to access the main screen of WhatsApp Web and view all the messages and conversations present in your messaging application.

How to connect WhatsApp to PC (WhatsApp for PC and Mac)
As an alternative to WhatsApp Web, for connect WhatsApp to the PC you can use the official WhatsApp client for PC and Mac.
In the latter case, it is a small program that will be downloaded on Windows and Mac computers and that will allow you to use WhatsApp on your PC, through the connection with the application for Android and iOS mobile devices.
On a technical level, the operation of the WhatsApp client for PC and Mac is practically identical to WhatsApp Web and will therefore allow you to take advantage of all the main features of the instant messaging application, directly on your computer.
In this case, obviously it is not necessary to use a browser to browse the Internet, as you will be prompted to download the WhatsApp client. In the following lines I will then explain to you how to connect WhatsApp for PC via the WhatsApp program for PC and Mac.
The first thing you need to do is to download the WhatsApp client on your computer; to do this you have to connect to the official WhatsApp website and press on the menu item Download that you will see located at the top.
Via the download section of the site, you will now have to press the green button Download for Windows 64 bit or, to download the application on Mac, click on the link Download for Mac OS X 10.9 and later. If you use Windows 10Furthermore, you can download the WhatsApp client directly through the Microsoft Store.
If you are downloading the WhatsApp client on a Windows PC, once you click on the button I indicated, you will download the installation file called WhatsAppSetup.exe. Then save this file on your computer and wait for it to download, until it appears in the list of programs on the Windows start menu and on the desktop. Don't worry, it will take a few seconds.
If you want to download the WhatsApp client on Mac, once you click on the dedicated button, you will need to install the WhatsApp client by copying the icon in the folder Applications of Mac OS, then you will have to start it by double clicking on it. The procedure for installing a program on a Mac is usually very simple.
Once you have downloaded the client in question, you will need to double-click on it to start it from Windows as well. The program does not require installation and, once started, is ready to be connected to the WhatsApp application.
To make the connection between WhatsApp and the PC, using the WhatsApp clients for PC and Mac you will also need to scan the QR code in this case.
To put this procedure into practice you will need the WhatsApp application on your mobile device; then take the app and start it by tapping on its icon and then press the button Settings from iOS or on the icon with the three dots symbol on Android. In both cases you will then have to tap on the wording WhatsApp Web / Desktop.
Now, what you will have to do is scan the QR code through the WhatsApp application and thus connect with the WhatsApp client for PC or Mac. However, you may be asked to authorize access via a biometric recognition system (for example the Face ID or Touch ID on iPhone), in case this is the unlocking system used on your device.
Then take your smartphone in hand and first tap the button OK! I got it and scan the QR code with your device that you will see in the WhatsApp client screen that you have downloaded on your PC or Mac.
In case of problems, from the WhatsApp Web desktop screen that you can see on your smartphone, press on the wording scan the QR code, or press the button Disconnect from all computers to reset the active connections and to be able to repeat the procedure completely from the beginning.
If you have followed all the instructions I have given you step by step, you should now be able to connect WhatsApp to your PC using WhatsApp Web client for Windows or Mac computers.
Do not forget that, in order to stay connected to the WhatsApp client for Windows or Mac computers, you will also have to put the check mark next to the wording Stay connected that you can see next to the QR code to be scanned.
Once all the steps have been carried out, you will have effectively concluded the connection of WhatsApp with your PC or with your Mac and you will be able to take advantage of the messaging application from your computer, sending or receiving messages and using its main features.
