Leave a group on WhatsApp from a smartphone
If you want to know how to leave a group on WhatsApp from your smartphone (the procedure is practically identical on Android, iOS e Windows Phone), all you have to do is access the home screen of your device, start the app by tapping its icon and go to the section Chat application. Then tap onsubject of discussion which is located at the top of the screen that opens.
At this point, if you are not an administrator of the group in question, you can go directly to reading the following lines. If, on the other hand, you are the administrator of the group you intend to leave, I invite you to first appoint a new administrator in your place. To do this, press the name of the users you want to become administrators of the group, select the item Appointment of director from the box that opens and indicates the contact, among those in the list, that you think is the case that preys on your place. If you are the administrator of the group and you do not appoint a new admin before leaving the conversation, another of the participants in the conversation will be named admin in your place randomly.
Keep in mind that if you are the administrator of the group on WhatsApp that you intend to leave, you can choose an unlimited number of new admins to "pass the baton" to. Also, if you were previously the group administrator and have appointed new administrators, they will have full control over the discussion: they will be able to invite new participants, delete existing ones and even close the chat as you could have done.
At this point, to be able to leave a group on WhatsApp, all you have to do is press the appropriate button Leave group that you find at the bottom and confirm your willingness to carry out this operation by pressing again on the item to leave the group attached to the menu that is shown on the screen. Once this is done, the chat will continue to "live" without your intervention.
Considering that only administrators can invite other users to groups, if after leaving a group on WhatsApp you want to retrace your steps, you will not be able to do everything independently but you will have to ask those who manage it to add you again.
